THE ILLSHAW HEATH RAMBLE

SATURDAY 18TH MARCH

Depending upon the strikes taking place next Saturday, 18th March, the ramble will or will not proceed as following:

IF TRAINS ARE RUNNING - details as in programme

IF BUSES ARE RUNNING -
9.24 a.m. WM bus 6 opposite Moor St Station (MS4) to Shirley,  Saracen’s Head then A5 LandFlight Bus at 10.29 am from Longmore Road bus stop to 3 Maypoles, Tanworth Lane Surgery (arriving 10.37 am). The walk will end at the Saracen’s Head for the bus home.

 For those living in the Northfield/Kings Norton areas WM Bus 76 from Northfield via QE Hospital and Kings Heath and WM Bus 49 from King’s Norton both stop at the Saracen’s Head in Shirley.  If you opt for these routes aim to reach Shirley no later than 10.15 a.m. 

 To give you some warning of journey’s end, when you reach Shirley the bus will negotiate a busy road junction adorned with large red poppies, Shirley Baptist Church is just past here on the right and the next stop is ‘Saracen’s Head’.  I will aim to be at the stop by about 10 am.  There is then a 2-3 minute walk to the A5 bus stop

 IF NO TRAINS OR BUSES - ramble will be cancelled
