The walks take place regularly on Thursdays and on Saturdays or Sundays, using local public transport. Distances are stated in the programme – with 8 miles being fairly typical. A pub walking group covers up to 12 miles on the second Sunday of the month, uses public transport to reach the start point and to return, and always stops at a pub for at least an hour. A train walking group covers up to 10 miles on the third Saturday of the month (excluding winter), and uses the railways to go further afield.Members of this Birmingham-based club undertake varied walks out into the country every week, and are free to join any of the walks staged by the different groups. New members are welcome, including young people. You don't need a car. Every walk has a leader. To complete the route, all you have to do is follow
