Our walks cover a range of abilities and interests:
Mondays walks are typically between 3 to 4 miles, over fairly easy terrain, and at a leisurely pace.
Thursday walks are normally around 6 miles, but occasionally longer.  The pace is a bit quicker than on Mondays, but not normally rushed.  Some of the terrain will be a bit more demanding with stiles, and small hills.
Week-end walks are often a bit longer than on Thursdays (typically 7 to 8 miles)  and sometimes at a quicker pace.
Railway walks take place on Saturdays about once a month except during winter, and as the name suggests are accessed by rail and for this reason normally go further afield and visit more exotic locations.
Pub Walks take place on some Sundays. They are not a pub crawl, but involve a meaningful walk of up to 12 miles to and from a hostelry, with a stay of about an hour and with some appropriate (but hopefully not excessive) refreshments at the destination.

Members are free to take part in as many of these walks as they wish.

Our walks take us along canal towpaths,  and through fields, woods and over hills.  There is normally some road walking, and walks in built up areas make use of green corridors and parks.

The WALKS DIARY page will give details of upcoming walks as soon as the Covid-19 Lockdown is over.  In the meantime please view the photographs taken on past walks to get a flavour of what at the moment we are all missing.
